At Electric Fountain Brewing, our mission is to achieve total guest satisfaction through inspired baristas, exceptional specialty coffee, a welcoming ambiance, and a positive community presence. We proudly serve the finest specialty coffees from around the world, hand-roasted right here in downtown Quincy, IL. Our modern coffee experience is offered in an attractive, clean environment where our talented baristas use only the freshest, top-quality ingredients, delivering knowledgeable and efficient service with a smile.
As a small-batch coffee roaster and coffee lounge, we emphasize quality and community. We feature exciting handcrafted drinks prepared on various brewing devices, providing you with the coffee you deserve—hand-crafted feel-good coffee.

At Electric Fountain Brewing, each cup of coffee is prepared in front of the customer using various manual brewing methods. We feature innovative coffee drinks and the pour-over technique using devices such as the Clever Dripper, V60, and Kalita Wave. This unique brewing method offers customers a one-of-a-kind experience, and EFB is proud to be the only coffee bar in the area offering this presentation.
By delivering a high-quality experience along with exceptional customer service and being the only roastery within a 90-mile radius, we aim to build the coffee community that Quincy was missing. We contribute to local welfare by supporting charitable and civic activities and prioritize using local, fair trade, sustainable, and organic products whenever possible.
Every cup of coffee from EFB supports not only our local business but also the global farmers we partner with. We often pay up to three times the fair trade prices to ensure farmers earn a decent wage, invest back into their farms, and support their communities.
We strive to be leaders in the coffee industry by educating our customers about specialty coffee and fostering a community within and around our company. Our mission is to bring our community together one cup at a time, providing them with an amazing coffee experience and a cup of coffee they can feel good about.

WHO WE ARE

Ownership
Electric Fountain Brewing, LLC is a retail coffee bar and roastery wholly owned by Ryan Christian who began roasting in 2014 and opened his first brick in mortar retail shop in 2017, A native of Kahoka, MO, Mr. Christian holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education/Performance from Culver-Stockton College. He has also earned a Master's in Educational Leadership from William Woods University and a second Master's in Music Education from the University of West Georgia—all while continuing his teaching career and managing EFB.
Currently, Mr. Christian serves as the Director of Athletic Bands and a guitar professor at Culver-Stockton College. In addition to these roles, he is the head roaster and owner of Electric Fountain Brewing, where he combines his passion for education and coffee to create a unique and thriving business.

Reason 1: Honoring Family Legacy
Growing up, my earliest memories of coffee are tied to my grandparents' local business, Fountain Electric. My grandfather was an electrician, and my grandmother managed the office. They were a dynamic duo, running their business while my brother and I roamed around their shop. Their unwavering support for my music career and their inspiring work ethic deeply influenced me. To honor their legacy, I named my coffee shop Electric Fountain, a nod to their last name and their hard work. Seeing their name in our logo keeps me focused, grounded, and brings a smile to my face every day.

Combining the definitions of "Electric" (thrilling excitement), "Fountain" (a source of desirable quality), and "Brewing" (creating coffee or tea), we promise you an exciting, high-quality cup of coffee or tea made with care and precision.

At EFB Coffee, we are dedicated to sourcing the best green beans from around the world. We collaborate with importers on both the east and west coasts who travel globally to find top-notch specialty coffee beans. We ensure fair compensation for farmers, often paying up to three times the fair trade prices. Our focus is on single-origin coffees, which allow us to highlight specific flavors from distinct geographic regions.

Our Roasting Process
Once we receive these premium beans, I roast them in-house, tailoring the roast profiles to bring out the best flavors from each region. Our goal is to offer you a cup of coffee that reflects the unique characteristics of its origin.
